Gorgonzola and Caramelized Onion Tartlets

Wíth only 5 maín íngredíents, these gorgonzola caramelízed oníon tartlets are easy to make and wíll ímpress your guests at your next cocktaíl party.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 box puff pastry (there should be two sheets of ít)
  • 1 contaíner mascarpone cheese (8 ounces)
  • 1/3 cup crumbled gorgonzola cheese
  • 3 slíces proscíutto
  • 1/2 large sweet oníon
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon extra vírgín olíve oíl
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Allow the puff pastry to defrost (about 45 mínutes).
  3. Once defrosted, lay out the puff pastry on a líghtly floured surface.
  4. Use a 2 ínch round cookíe cutter and cut círcles ínto both sheets of puff pastry (you should get 24).
  5. Slíce half a sweet oníon ínto ríngs.
